Thank you so much to EVERYONE who helped support my contest so far by blogging, spreading the word, signing up, contributing to the forum, and emailing their little hearts out! I am thrilled to have such a talented and beautifully spirited group joining me and the Muse on this journey of creativity and exploration. I am just so happy and grateful to have you all apart of my community!
If you did not get a chance at a kit this time, PLEASE PLEASE sign-up for The Beader's Newsletter and be the first to know about USE THE MUSE III (estimated launch date: August 2009). I always let everyone on my personal mailing list know about events and promotions first, so if you want to be a part of my Beading Family you have to sign-up!
Just because kits are sold out, doesn't mean you can't still enter to win fabulous prizes! I am still giving away free beads and pendants from Artbeads.com and Rainbows of Light EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Click on Blogger Rewards for the low-down on how to participate.
Participants: Within the following week I will be posting recommendations for photographing your submissions for judging and I will also be emailing everyone with information on the entry form process. I will email the address that I have from your Paypal transaction. Be sure to check that email for communications from me in the coming weeks. Please DO NOT email me your submission yet, as there will be an actual form that you will need to fill out. This is so that I can get just one email from everyone, and not need to match up a whole bunch of entries with their owners. If you are going out of town or something and need to get your submission to me before that, please let me know and I will give you further instruction. If you have any additional questions, I am here to help you.
I hope that the Muse is inspiring all of you to grow your beading repertoire and influencing you artistically! I know the Muse will be taking on many guises in the upcoming weeks and I cannot wait until the "Big Reveal" to share them with all of you!

Amazing! I'm so glad I'm one of the lucky ones to have received a kit before they sold out! Mine arrived a few days ago and I don't think I'm giving anything away in saying that the Muse is rather lovely...
Congratulations Scarlett! The participants are in for a treat. I didn't manage to find the time to get in this time, but I can tell you that it was really a fascinating exercise in creativity to do the first Use The Muse contest! I look forward to being inspired by all of your daring adventures in beading (and I will surely clear my schedule and hop on board the Use the Muse lll train!). Enjoy the day! Erin
Congratulations! I am working on the contest right now. The Muse is beautiful and I am really enjoying myself. Thanks for a fantastic kit! I can't wait to see all the submissions!
Scarlett, I got my kit and have been looking at it with fear for a week. This is my first contest; this is the first time I have dared to think that I can create a piece of jewelry that is worthy of your contest. How do you get past the terror and start to create? I am excited and terrified at the same time. I have looked at all the Muse I entries...and am anxious to see what everyone did with the Muse II. Good luck to all of the entrants. Patricia
Hi Scarlett, I too received my kit this week and have been staring at it--the colors are just beautiful! Guess I'm waiting for the muse to hit <g>. I put a post up on my blog about it:

Hope I can fit in the energy and time to come up with a fabulous creation in time to enter the contest before the deadline of July 18th! We should be seeing some wonderful pieces of jewelry--good luck to everyone who manages to enter! SusanSW
I received my kit yesterday and was excited to get inspired, but my muse is missing or AWOL (?) so I don't know where to start or what direction to head. Scarlett, I e-mailed the yahoo.com account you provided in the letter - hope to hear from you soon!
I cannot wait to see everyone's entries - last year's are awesome. Like Patricia this is my first contest and I was almost too nervous to order my kit. Once I did though, I started sketching ideas from the bead kit picture posted on this site before they left my mind forever. Now . . . if I could just find my muse . . .
I got my contest kit on Saturday and started working on my entry as soon as I opened the package! I'm almost done, and I think my creation is coming together nicely. This has been a fun contest so far. I can't wait to see what everyone else has created!

I'm working away on my piece but also working in my mind about what I want to say about it. The Muse really did "speak" to me, and I have a lot I'd like to say with my entry, but I know there is only so many words allowed - ahhhh! And I'm such a Chatty-Cathy! ;) How to pare down what I want/need to say! I can't wait to receive the form from you, Scarlett, so that I can be preparing the formalities of my submission while I also work on my piece. Not that I'm rushing you! I'm just also planning, thinking, and MUSING! And most of all, having FUN! I feel so sorry for anyone who didn't get to play with us on this one.
Scarlett, thank you so much for finding/sending my missing muse! It arrived yesterday afternoon and the muse did not take long to inspire a design - I've been up since 4:00AM this morning working on the priject. Funny thing is I'm not sure now if I am more excited to see my finished product or to see all the designs that are submitted :)
The MUSE arrived, it struck, and the MUSE is ready to photograph for submission, just waiting for the entry form email in order to complete this contest. I must say that this kit spoke to me much more quickly that the last one, and that my inspiration for using the MUSE didn't vary so much during the process. In the end, I created a piece that does justice to the MUSE and is completely within my design norm, which is no norm at all!
I've received my muse - and I've abused my muse! =) After a day or two of delieration I knew exactly what the muse and other beads must be so diligently sorting them out. Thank you Scarlet for putting together such a pretty colour combination in the kit!
It's great to feel like part of a project even though we're all working on our own! Love reading everyone's comments.

I don't know about everyone else, but I've looked at this project as a challenge. I am not doing techniques I necessarily do the best - I'm trying some new things and really jumping into some murky waters. I've had some serious failures and set backs and even questioned whether I'll finish in time BUT it has all been fantastic. I want this to be what I really thought of the Muse, and the entire process has been inspirational.
i cant wait to see what people r going to make with that muse kit......the blue family is one of my favorite color groups along with greens.....scarlett u r very inspirational, i cant get enough of ur designs =) im only a few years olderthan u and ive been beading forever, and ur bead designs helpme expand on my creativity.,.....i can not wait to see what people r going to make with ur muse kits and im so going to get one of ur next kits that come out =) i wish everyone the best of luck....oh and scarlett u inspired me to start teaching bead classes at my local bead store, i was to scared to try to teach before now im loving it.....thank u so much ur truely a expert beader
Rats!! Well, that's what I get for putting it off until I finished a couple of other committments. Can't wait to see what comes forth in the creative minds of all the lucky participants.
Good luck to all!

Scarlett,
I am trying to get it ready to send in but I was a little unclear about the size of the photos do you want them a certan size, can they both be 2MB or do they need to both add up to less then that?
thanks amanda
Hi Amanda,
Both photos can be 2MB, you can have 4MB total.
Thanks!
Scarlett - just wanted to say thankyou for the great inspiration and letting us International beaders take part. I had so much fun making my piece and I can't wait to see how everyone else has been inspired by the Muse.
i wanna c what everyone has made so far!!!!! im super excited!!!
Hi, When can we post pics of our entry?
Can't wait to see everyone's jewelry! How many entries were there? When do you think you'll have them posted??
I Can't wait to see the pics of all the others! Recently i had my very first booth for my NEW Jewelry Designing Company and thought I'd put my "MUSE" project on display (only) ... I received so many compliments and others wanting to buy it! Since it's my first design competition piece I did not want to sell it. LOL. This weekend my new website will launch if anybody wants to check it out and find more inspiration...suggestions & comments are greatly appreciated (a blog page will be linked too!).
